To relinquish control over your work and tasks is tough…We know!
The most important key aspect to always keep in mind is that outsourcing your tedious, time-consuming and admin tasks, will be to your benefit at the end of the day. Imagine regaining hours and hours of time to focus on the growth of your company and actual strategy of your business.
Your business is your biggest asset and we are going to show you how your EVA virtual assistant can be your biggest blessing.
Step 1: Be Prepared to Take a Virtual Assistant On
Make a list of everything that you either do not have time for, hate doing or those tasks that take up most of your precious time and that distract you from other crucial matters.
Step 2: Setting Up a Delegation/Training Call with Your Virtual Assistant
Once you have identified the EVA you want to work with, your EVA will call you to introduce themselves and to arrange an initial call. In this call make sure to cover the following;
• Discuss what needs to be done
• How you’d like it to be done
• What systems you prefer to use (Your EVA will most likely have some good suggestions for systems, if you do not have any preferences)
• Go through your business, your business goals and where you see your business going.
• Let your EVA know how you prefer to be contacted. This way both parties will know how tasks will be delegated and will ensure a smooth working relationship.
Step 3: Communication is the Key
Once this onboarding call has been held, it will be crucial to keep communication lines open with your EVA. Should you feel that there may be a road block somewhere along the journey with your EVA, set up a call to discuss it. Your EVA will always be open to these discussions.
We understand that working remotely may be a relatively new concept to you, but remember that all our EVA’s are fully trained and equipped to guide and assist you through the process. We are always just a phone call or email away.
Step 4: Take a Step Back
Again, we understand that at first delegation may be a bit of a shock to the system, but once your online personal assistant understands what needs to be done, let her take accountability and initiative to perform your tasks. Our EVA’s are exceptionally well-trained and know exactly what you expect from them. You can rest assured, we have got you covered.
Step 5: Successful Delegation Is a Process
It is always good to delegate to your Virtual Assistant for a month and then review the process thus far. If there are any adjustments that need to take place, discuss it on a monthly call. If you feel that tasks could have been dealt with differently, do not feel afraid to mention it. Positive communication will ensure a successful and fruitful relationship.
